The text explains the difference between Marx?s concept of «oppression» and others as «coercion» by Durkheim or «domination» by Weber. The article then establishes, in a methodical way, the centrality of a passage from Capital, in which three different theories on «oppression» appear. It?s explained that two of them are rather a philosophical antinomy. The other, relative to the heteronomy of social time, can be completed by defining the heteronomy of social space, which gives it analytical virtuality. Some examples are given.

The diversity of people, cultures and social situations in Latin America countries does not obstruct the critical and honest dialogue concerning the research carried out on the learning of world problems. Geography, as a science, can contribute to this challenge, but it needs, then, to leave the intellectual, corporate and academic obstacles that prevent its study by the pupils. In this work we communicate the initiatives developed by a group of teachers by means of the Geoforo, which takes advantage of the facilities of the cyberspace, from the Geocrítica portal of the University of Barcelona.

El aumento de la participación en los foros ha facilitado el intercambio de opiniones y argumentos sobre la innovación educativa. Podemos definir este momento como la creación de una red social con intereses profesionales coincidentes: la mejora del aprendizaje de los hechos sociales, en especial los que tienen una característica geográfica. Los datos que se aportan en este balance anual nos indican que se está asentando el Geoforo allí donde hay grupos locales, lo que nos confirma que este blog es una red de redes.

Los problemas sociales y ambientales que existen en este siglo XXI son de una gran magnitud. Pero la escuela sigue anclada en concepciones del siglo XIX, al mismo tiempo que se priorizan aspectos técnicos de la comunicación y se abandonan los valores y criterios de un análisis social.
